Project Description
Medical Aesthetics and Derma-Cosmetics
Cosmetic processes involve a wide range of operations and treatments to improve the appearance of a person, not for basic medical reasons. These processes are performed by a doctor known as a cosmetic surgeon or plastic surgeon. Cosmetic surgery is usually not covered by health insurance since it is not a typical medical procedure. Types of Cosmetic Surgery are under the roof of Hundreds of procedures and cosmetic processes. Some of them are abdominoplasty, breast implants, face lifting, nose surgery, and liposuction. However, all the processes are not surgical. For example, non-surgical treatments are available to improve the overall appearance of the skin, such as microdermabrasion, laser peeling, and chemical peeling. In addition to this, some conditions like vitiligo disease that lost color on the skin can be treated with makeup, self-coat, skin dye, skin medication or mild treatments. In the case of repair of the body after a disease, injury or congenital defect, cleft lip or cleft palate repair operations are common cosmetic processes. Women can perform breast reconstruction when they have one or two breasts removed due to breast cancer. Wounds may also heal after skin cancer or injury.
The Benefits and The Risks
The benefits of cosmetic surgery are based primarily on how people feel themselves rest upon the improvement in their appearance. However, many cosmetic surgeries carry some risks. For example, bleeding, infection, and scarring are potential risks associated with any type of surgery. Breast implants have the potential to leak over time. Liposuction can cause burns, numbness or accidental organ puncture. Every type of cosmetic surgery has its own risks; no matter what procedure, it is important to weigh these risks with the considered potential benefits.
